What is the Szaldó system?

Unfortunately, the Szaldó system has already ended - on 10/13/2022, the government information officer Gergely Gulyás announced that no more new connections to the electricity supplier's network will be allowed. In any case, our country was a cuckoo's egg in this regard, as the EU generally obliged all member states not to use a balance system or a similar system in connection with accounting for small household power plants.

This is a system just like the gross settlement system in that the generated electricity can be fed back into the electrical network, the only important difference is that a "give-take" clock measures the consumption. That is, if we produce more than we consume at a given moment, the clock turns backward. That is, if we produce, the service provider not only bills us for the energy produced as consumption reduction, but also the network operating fee. This means that you have credited us with the full energy and service fee for the amount of electricity produced by the solar panel. This was a significant item and therefore a significant discount. Unfortunately, this is over, just as the gross settlement is temporarily over, we hope for as short a time as possible.

However, there is a technical solution that can be used to bring back the essence of the balance settlement even without the existence of a balance or gross settlement. It's very simple, consume the energy where it is produced, i.e. try to relieve the electricity grid as much as possible, and disconnect from it. This is the stand-alone solution. The energy produced by the solar panel is used locally, and when there is overproduction, it is also stored locally for later use.
